The Ohio River begins at the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Stretching 981 mi (1579 km), the river ends when it joins the Mississippi River at Cairo, Illinois. The Virgin River
Originating in Southwestern Utah near Zion National Park, the Virgin River flows through the northwestern corner of Arizona before eventually entering Lake Mead in the southern tip of Nevada. Coursing through the many canyons and gorges of the Southwest, the Virgin River is popular for canyoneering, whitewater rafting and kayaking.
